Lauren Barbosa

Lauren Barbosa (she/her) is a Vancouver-based actor and graduate of the Acting for Stage and Screen program at Capilano University. Her love for performing started early in her childhood living room, where she would embody her favorite pop stars, singing, dancing, and putting on full performances, fully immersed in her own imagined world.
From there, that playful imagination grew into a lifelong passion for storytelling. She trained in dance and show choir from a young age, and also grew up playing soccer, where even off the stage she found a sense of performance, channeling that same passion, focus, and energy into everything she did.
She is passionate about bringing characters to life on stage, on screen, and behind the mic. Whether she’s diving into a script for the first time or fully stepping into a role, Lauren thrives on the process of performance and character work.
During her time at Capilano, Lauren discovered a love for writing and directing, and has since begun developing her own work. In her free time, she’s recently gotten into photography and enjoys shooting on film, continuing to explore visual storytelling through different creative outlets.
Lauren is currently represented by Trisko Talent and continues to develop her work as both a performer and emerging writer and director.
